Under the direction of the Customer Service Team Lead, the Account Executive performs promotional work to sell and develop business accounts. Provides the best possible support by responding to all of the customer requirements from both dealers and end users, primarily from Lakeside's home office, but occasionally traveling to other locations to represent the company and its products. Recommends the best application of the product to customer accounts and obtains technical support from Senior Account Executives and/or engineering services to determine customers' needs.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Customer Service Responsibilities
1. Services active accounts, obtain orders and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule
2. Enters orders in an efficient and accurate manner, issue returns and credits accurately.
3. Builds and maintain customer account information by (a) making sure mailing/ billing/ shipping addresses are kept up to date (b) making sure all phone and fax numbers are up to date (c) making sure routing instructions and freight programs are up to date and (d) making sure discounts are coming up correctly during order entry.
4. Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports and making recommendations.
5. Provides accurate product lead-time information to customers, and provide order ship date and details to customers
6. Expedites customer orders with Operations Department and/or Shipping Department
7. Maintains dealer activities and profile in CRM on a proactive basis

Sales Responsibilities
1. Maintains continuous contact with both internal and external customers in order to develop strong relationship
2. Creates and maintain an Opportunity database by studying existing and potential dealers' needs
3. Grows sales by requesting more information, finding out what the customer needs and wants as well as where and how the product will be used. Then suggest related products, quantity discounts or special promotions
4. Captures new product ideas and problems from market place and transfer them to Marketing Department for follow-up.
5. When assigned by Customer Service Team Lead attend industry trade shows, buying group meetings and sales seminars and prepare dealer sales personnel by conducting and /or participating in sales promotions, educational meetings and dealer trade shows.
6. Recommends changes in products, service and policy by evaluating customer comments on results and developments.
7. Provides sales results information by preparing and submitting a summary report of transactions using Q4BIZ System to record information or each conversation on CRM.
8. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in
professional societies.


Development of Product Knowledge and Internal Process Knowledge
1. Gains product knowledge in all Business Units, such as Food Service, Industrial, Health Care and other Sandstone entities
2. Keeps in contact with Engineering and Business Unit Managers with new product development and research
3. Learns to be efficient using Portal, JDE, printers and faxes
4. Gains understanding of the MXIE phone system that navigates internal and external calls to the Customer Service team.
5. Comprehends department usage of tracking numbers, invoices, commercial invoices, bill of lading, print stocking labels and proof of delivery
6. Actively participates in Process Improvement projects and the timely completion of these assigned projects as assigned to by the Customer Service Team Lead
